‘Javed Iqbal’ starring Yasir Hussain gets a release date

Yasir Hussain is playing the titular character in a movie based on one of Pakistan’s most heinous criminals, Javed Iqbal. The makers of the movie titled The Untold Story of a Serial Killer: Javed Iqbal have announced its release date.

The film is all set to release on December 24 across the country. It is written and directed by Abu Aleeha and is being produced under the banner of KK Films by Javed Ahmed.

Yasir took to social media to share the release date as well as an interesting poster that looks like an old newspaper.

The headlines featured in the newspaper highlight news revolving around the serial killer and a little insight surrounding the events that took place.

Writer and director Abu Aleeha also took to Twitter to share the news. “Here We Come. Javed Iqbal is releasing on 24th December 2021 IA,” he wrote.

The film will trace the story of the man who sexually abused and killed more than 100 children in Lahore, Pakistan between 1998 and 1999. The killer not only tortured and murdered the children but also butchered and dissolved their bodies in acid to get rid of the evidence. He was sentenced to death in the same way.

Along with Yasir, the film also features Ayesha Omar as a determined police officer running the investigation on the serial killer and tracking down his accomplices. The cast includes Paras Masroor, Rabiya Kulsoom and Aamir Yamin and several others
