Atif Aslam has been actively making music in the last few months. He released a naat, a few covers, originals and recently a new highly anticipated single as well. But what has excited everyone all the more were the recent rumours that he will be making his acting debut on television in the sequel of drama serial Sang-e-Mar Mar.
Atif Aslam has already made his acting debut in films with Shoaib Mansoor’s hit Bol in 2011, and that was opposite another superstar of the country, Mahira Khan. In a conversation with Haroon Rashid during a BBC Asian Network interview, Atif revealed reasons behind not doing more acting in the last 10 years.
“I don’t think I’m handsome enough,” Atif jokingly replies, adding, “I might consider something; I have always said that I have kind of ignored it, but I will do it if I will find the right script.”

“People might be able to see me on television, delivering dialogues so, let’s see,” he teased his fans.
About the rumours that Atif is doing a TV drama, Atif dodged the question and replied, “I’ve heard the rumours but I’m not sure about this.” He then asked his fans for their opinion on it: “Fans, you gotta tell me about this; shall we do it?”
That’s not all, Atif also gave another hint that fans might be able to see Mahira and him, together in a video, this year.
