Yes, it is that time of the year when we get to hear big announcements about upcoming dramas. Wajahat Rauf has just announced the cast of his new drama and it looks epic!
The director took to Instagram and confirmed all speculations. Feroze Khan, Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf are working his in next TV project which is written by renowned playwright Hashim Nadeem.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce this labour of love called ‘Sanwal Yaar Piya‘ in association with Geo TV, featuring this dream cast Feroze Khan, Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf along with some of the most talented actors in the country. It is an honour teaming up once again with the great Hashim Nadeem sb (after Raqse Bismil) who has given us this intense story!” he wrote.
Wajahat also posted a picture of the first look of the drama with the three actors in it.

In a conversation with Something Haute, Wajahat shared that he is the director.
“I cannot talk much about the story or the characters because it is too early to reveal. The filming will commence from 12th September. It is indeed a great cast which has never appeared together on screen. After Raqse Bismil, Hashim Nadeem has written another intense story and I’m looking forward to see how these characters turn out,” he said.

Feroze and Iqra have previously worked on another Hashim Nadeem superhit Khuda Aur Muhabbat Season 3, while Imran and Iqra were loved by all and sundry in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. Both on-screen couples have made a place in everyone’s hearts in their respective dramas and now the anticipation of seeing them together in one drama is all time high.
