After making his debut as a music video director with Dori, last year, Yasir Hussain is now exploring new territories this year. He recently became a dad and now he’s all set to direct an upcoming drama. His directorial debut is titled Koyal (bird) and features Fahad Sheikh and Mansha Pasha in the lead.
Taking to Instagram, Yasir shared pictures from the set with Mansha.

“This red cap is not an ordinary cap. Director’s Cap hai Bhai (It’s a director’s cap),” he announced stating that it is wonderful directing Mansha, who is the female lead. He went on to add that good people are often good actors.
Mansha was quick to respond and appreciate Yasir’s professionalism. “First-time father and first time director. Itna jaldi set pay bhi! Wahhh ki professionalism.”
The script has been penned by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and the shoot has already begun. Mansha is playing the titular character Koyal, while the name of Fahad’s character is Moosa. The story is based on sister rivalry.
Koyal is being produced for Emax TV, with Farhan Gauher serving as the producer. The drama will be aired on digital platform Urduflix and TV channel AAJ Entertainment.
