Though Strings the band is no more, but Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood are going strong as musicians. Bilal Maqsood just released his second solo single titled Zalima, and interestingly, its lyrical video gives a chance to the viewers to enjoy the quirky and fun lyrics to their heart’s content.
Bilal dropped the song on Wednesday and posted the video on YouTube with a familiar caption:
“Aap ka milaya hooa number filhaal bundd hai! [The number you’re dialing is currently powered off!]”. It is a reminder about a moment in our lives when we really wanted to get in touch with someone who ghosted us or was ignoring us.
Directed by Umair Anwar, the lyrical video is an eccentric one with lyrics floating around Bilal around his car seat, on his glasses, out of his mic etc while Bilal stood against artistic backdrops. The contrast is cool as Bilal and his real accessories are in shades of black and white while all other fun paraphernalia appears in striking hues.
The video has been created by We Are Transmedia. The motion graphics and scene assembly and compositing by Shoaib Ahmed are quite unique. Bilal Maqsood released his first solo single Naya Naya which was filmed in Turkey.
