Director and filmmaker Qasim Ali Mureed, who has given us Prem Gali and is also the director of to-be released Tich Button, is the genius behind the spooky and engrossing Neeli Zinda Hai. Currently airing on ARY Digital, the drama is receiving praises for its mysterious storyline and an eerie depiction.
Qasim is person is not fond of horror movies to the extent that he watches them in broad daylight. Then why did he decide to direct this drama? In a conversation with Hassan Choudary of Something Haute, the director revealed his reasons.
“Six Sigma is the culprit,” he laughed, adding, “So I was reading Neeli Zinda Hai while I was working on Prem Gali but I thought that horror has a very cult audience and then even I have only seen hardly 4 or 5 horror films in my life and that too during the day after opening all the curtains and not even alone.”
Then what made him say yes?
“I decided to do this because it is more like a thriller or mystery. It has even characters with substance and then a love story which will unfold eventually,” he said.
