Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2 might just be a few days from its release, but things seem to have taken an awkward turn as writer and actor Vasay Chaudhry has announced he will ‘boycott’ his own film’s promotions!
Scared you, didn’t we? Well, that’s exactly how we felt when Vasay took to Twitter to proclaim that he will no longer be a part of his own film’s promotions…until we read further.

The actor claimed that if he is not a part of the promotions – just like how Hamza Ali Abbasi wasn’t the last time – the film might just do as well at the box office!
“I Won’t be a part of these shoots or the Tilay wali Songs video,” Vasay wrote. “I am Boycotting this segment of the promotions as a tribute to Hamza Abbasi. He sacrificed last time, this time it will be me…hopefully, it will have the same results at the BO as JPNA 1.”
Knowing Vasay’s humour, of course, we realised it’s all in jest, but we couldn’t help but feel a bit scared for a moment there. But that said, if Vasay’s absence could lead JPNA 2 to major success, it’s a risk we’re willing to take!
