The Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) Youth Icon of the Year Award 2020 has been awarded to actor, singer-songwriter and music producer, Umair Jaswal.
Winners across all categories are decided by online voting, with an exception of the PISA Special Awards which include the PISA Youth Icon of the Year Award 2020 and the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award 2020.

During a time when the Covid-19 pandemic confined people within their homes, Umair Jaswal took off on a motivational journey across Pakistan to explore both seen and unseen wonders of the land. Along the journey, he met people and got to know about their diverse cultures.
His series, titled Raahi, was one of the most dynamic travel series ever made in Pakistan.

“HUMBLED,” wrote Umair and acknowledged everyone who was part of the project. “I share this one with everyone involved in RAAHI. Lots of love and thankyou for making it so special.”
The rock star will be performing live at the Pakistan International Screen Awards on the 5th of November, 2021 at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena, Dubai.

He also made a TV debut in Mor Mahal opposite Meesha Shafi and starred in Pakistani film Yalghaar.
