Through her strong performances in back to back projects, actor Sonya Hussyn has proven that she’s here to stay. While we’ve seen her play different roles and characters on television, her latest performance in a musical tribute to the legendary Iqbal Bano has won her great appreciation and applause.
The song Payal Mein Geet Hain has been covered by Wahdat Rameez and features Sonya like never before. The Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida star has mesmerized everyone with her classical dance skills and she looks flawless in a wardrobe designed by Ambreen Asma and Faiza Saqlain.
Sonya managed to keep the viewers engaged through her stunning expressions and dance performance. Choreographed by ace Kathak dancer and the Pride of Performance recipient, Nighat Chaudhry, the song has gained millions of views since its release.
Nighat, who is a trained Sufi and mystique Kathak classical dancer, is also all praises for Sonya’s performance. “Honored to work as choreographer with Team ‘Payal’,” she wrote.
The song has been originally composed by Ustad Inayat Hussain and sung by Iqbal Bano. The lyrics have been penned by Saif-uddin Saif.
