The third teaser of the much-anticipated drama, Aangan, is out featuring Sonya Hussyn and Ahsan Khan. Amidst a period setting, the two actors are seen bounded by a deep connection. Fans are in love with the vibe of this angle of unrequited love but the sneak peek left us wondering about the interesting journey of their love story.

While we have seen Ahsan in a pre-partition setting before in drama serial Dastaan, Sonya has never been seen before in such an avatar. The actress has donned a vintage look with an effeminate aura surrounding her.

The preview shows Sonya Hussyn’s character ‘Salma’ longing for affection from Ahsan’s character ‘Safdar’ as she reminds him about his covetousness.

“Yaad hai eik baar apni jalan ka badla lene k liye tum ne meri hatheli pe dehekta hua angaara rakh dia tha?” she asks, to which Ahsan replies, “Sab bachpan ki batein hein Salma, Khuda ke liye bhool jao!”

We can actually feel the pain and yearning in her voice when she responds with, “Nahi bhool sakti, aaj tak tumhari jalan ki nishani ko apni hatheli pe saja ke rakha hay.”

We have seen photos of Safdar romancing Aaliya (Mawra Hocane’s character) as well which promises another twist in the tale. While the actors have emphasized that the play is more than just a love story, these new pairings are exciting to watch out for.

Earlier Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir and Mawra Hocane left us awestruck with their on-screen presence in the first two teasers. We love how the drama has ladies in the lead celebrating the strength, grit and resilience of women with their distinct nuances. Each character we have seen so far is knitted to perfection right from the looks to mannerisms and dialogue delivery. The attention to costume and set designing is also remarkable as the scenes transport us to pre-partition days.
