After much hue and cry surrounding Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy this week on her stance about harassment, the Oscar-winning filmmaker has finally spoken out about the controversy.

Taking to Twitter, Sharmeen admitted how her words were ‘poorly chosen in a time of heated emotion.’ The filmmaker also clarified how the Aga Khan University Hospital doctor had breached the code of conduct by commenting on the patient’s social media posts and then subsequently, sending a friend request.

Sharmeen also reiterated her stance, concluding that she ‘will not stay silent.’
With the filmmaker finally giving out her side of the story, we sincerely hope it’s a good shut-up call to the haters.
