With a ban on the screening of Bollywood films in Pakistani cinemas in the wake of the prevailing volatile Indo-Pak relations, the film exhibitor’s fraternity has volunteered to focus on local content till the current situation in the region becomes stable. Subsequently, there are many time slots open for local films and thus four Pakistani movies are screening yet again.
In case you missed the super hit movies of 2018 – Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Parwaaz Hai Junoon, Teefa in Trouble – are showcasing at Cinepax, Atrium and Nueplex cinemas nationwide. While for those who want to watch Pinky Memsaab, there is a time slot available at Cinepax cinema.
Producer of the film Azaadi, Irfan Malik, has also confirmed to Something Haute that the Sonya Hussyn and Moammar Rana starrer movie will also be screened at Cinepax, Nueplex and Universal Cinemas.
Moreover, Parchi, Ho Mann Jahaan, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Donkey King, Actor in Law are also returning to Universal Cinemas. Judging by the number of films which have been already announced, we expect many more films to be screened in the days to come.

There are three more movies scheduled to hit the theatres before the Republic Day. Project Ghazi, Laal Kabootar and Sherdil are releasing on March 22. Considering the genre of Project Ghazi and Sherdil, the movies will resonate with the patriotic spirit running high in the present scenario.
