Ranbir Kapoor is currently basking in glory as his latest film Sanju has emerged as a blockbuster hit. The movie is breaking box office records, creating history and setting new benchmarks.

Critics have been singing praises for Ranbir’s fantastic portrayal and imitation of Sanjay Dutt’s drug addiction, calling it the best performance of his career so far. In a recent interview, Ranbir revealed that even he’s tried drugs when he was younger.

“I have tried drugs when I was in college and got into bad influence. But I realised that nothing will happen in life if I continue with drugs,” the actor told Deccan Chronicle. He added that Sanju is a lesson for youngsters that “five minutes of ecstasy can destroy your entire life”.

However, the good news is that Ranbir is clean and not addicted to drugs anymore. He did confess that he has a “worse” addiction. “Every man makes mistakes in his life. I am addicted to nicotine now and it’s worse than drugs. And I have addiction for sweets as well,” he said.
