Some of the best talent from Pakistan was recently seen in Dubai at the Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night, an award ceremony organized to honour and celebrate film artists from Pakistan, India and Arab.
Pictures and videos started circulating on social media on Thursday, October 28th, as many Indian and Pakistani stars were spotted together. Sajal Aly graced the red carpet with her husband Ahad Raza Mir. Sheheryar Munawar, Maya Ali, Faysal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam, Mahira Khan, Ayesha Omar, Javed Sheikh and British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom are a few names who were in attendance.
While most of the female Pakistani stars were seen in dresses and gowns, Sajal Aly wore an anarkali.

Sajal and Ahad also took home one trophy each as Ahad Raza Mir was recognised as the Best Actor of New Generation and Sajal Aly was awarded Outstanding Performance of the Year. Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munawar received awards for Superstar of Pakistani Cinema and Best Debutante Filmmaker (Pakistan) respectively. Mahira also accepted an award on behalf of Humayun Saeed and emphasized in her speech that art transcends borders. Maya Ali was awarded in the category of a Rising Star.

A-list Bollywood celebrities including Kajol, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sonu Nigam amongst many more were also seen at the award ceremony. The night provided a platform for Pakistani and Indian artists to get together and appreciate each others hard work.
