Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam, and Aiman Khan are three of the most popular names in Pakistan’s entertainment industry that were included in this year’s Forbes 100 list of Asia-Pacific’s most influential celebrities on social media.

Forbes Asia on Tuesday released its 100 Digital Stars list which features artists with huge social media influence. Forbes Asia also announced that the list included celebrities who “have also used their influence to support worthy causes, especially those with a Covid-19 focus.”

The list seemed to be in no particular order, however, mentioned first among the three by the publication was Mahira Khan.

“Khan uses her social media presence — nearly seven million Instagram followers and over four million on Facebook — to raise awareness about mental health issues, violence against women and breast cancer,” wrote the publication to describe the Raees star. It also mentioned that she will return to screen with the much-awaited action drama The Legend of Maula Jatt, which is said to be Pakistan’s most expensive film to date.

The publication praised Atif Aslam for his commendable efforts. “Released in May, Asma-ul-Husna recites Allah’s 99 names to encourage hope during the pandemic and has over 22 million views on YouTube. Aslam urged his 20 million Facebook followers to stay home to curb the spread of the coronavirus,” the description read.

About Aiman Khan, the publication praised her for her work on television. “With nearly eight million followers, Aiman is the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram. She and her twin sister Minal run the clothing site, Aiman Minal Closet, with 249,000 Instagram followers. Last year, she was nominated for Best Actress at Hum Awards for roles in TV shows Ishq Tamasha and Baandi,” the publication wrote.

The star-studded list also features other renowned names, including Amitabh Bachan, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Katherine Langford, and many more.
