Kumail Nanjiani, Pakistani-American comedian from The Big Sick fame, seems to be having a killer year. After the hit of his film, based on his own life story, the actor was announced as the host for the popular American sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) in October.
It was recently announced that the actor will star in a comedy buddy cop film, alongside the famed WWE wrestler turned actor John Cena. The untitled project has been acquired by Universal and will be led by Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Murray Miller.
While we’re not big fans of John Cena’s acting skills, it will be fun to see Nanjiani on the big screen once again, with comedy being his forte.
