Kubra Khan has worked with star-studded casts and huge projects in the past as well. However, this time, she is opposite Mahira Khan in Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay that is hyped up and promoted as Mahira’s comeback to television.
“What matters is your character, your performance and the vibe you give to your viewers at the end of the day,” Kubra shared in an interview with Aamna Isani of Something Haute.
Speaking of her co-star, Mahira, who has won international fame, Kubra says that she was amazing to work with.
They both shared great chemistry on set, unlike the rivalry that their characters portray on TV as Mashal and Mehreen.
“We would tell each other’s good things. And when we thought something wasn’t right with the performance, we would point that out too.”
Kubra explained that the drama is a product of great teamwork. Not only did Mahira and Kubra share a great work relationship, but they also shared a beautiful bond with Usman Mukhtar who plays the male lead and an important role in the play.
While Usman plays an important role, the story, however, is about Mashal and Mehreen, states Kubra. “According to me, it’s about the bond Mashal and Mehreen have. It’s about the emotions they hold for each other.”
“In this drama, there’s no evil and good,” Kubra concluded about the characters they play. “If one is evil, she also has a good side. And the good one is not all good, she has a dark streak as well. And that is a very human thing. We all have our demons and we should accept that.”
