After impressing the audience with Mehreen Jabbar’s web series, Ek Jhoothi Love Story opposite Bilal Abbas Khan, Madiha Imam is now set for her upcoming Pakistani film. Choti will now share the big screen with superstars Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan in Neelofar.
Speaking exclusively to Something Haute regarding her upcoming film, Madiha stated that the content is great and fits her definition of ‘perfection’.
“I did not have to compromise on my morals and that was obviously the reason why I signed this project. Secondly, it’s a Mahira and Fawad starrer,” she said.
“The content is amazing and knowing that Fawad Khan is the producer, I knew it was going to turn out great,” she said, adding that she’s really happy and satisfied that she signed Neelofar as her first Pakistani film. “Who wouldn’t want to work with Fawad Khan?”
The actor plays a young girl who is modern, intelligent, kind-hearted, feisty, and a little more mature than a regular 21-year-old. “It’s a strong part and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it,” the actor said without revealing the plot of the film.
Madiha has reservations against roles that don’t add anything to the narrative and she’s satisfied with her character in the film. “It’s a small role, but it has weight.”
“My role was mostly with Fawad Khan and it was wonderful! As a producer and co-actor; the experience was incredible in both regards,” she said about working with one of the biggest Khans in the Pakistani entertainment industry. “The film is refreshing and really lighthearted. There is a lot of newness to the genre.”
The shoot has now concluded and fans will get to see their hard work on screen soon. “Looking forward to 2021 being a good year in regards to our cinemas and everything,” Madiha concluded.
Other than Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, and Madiha Imam, the cast also includes Behroze Sabzwari, Atiqa Odho, and Naveed Shahzad in key roles. Looks like the year 2021 is going to be a big year for cinema.
Besides Neelofar, Madiha Imam will also be starring in two upcoming dramas; Mujhe Vida Kar with Muneeb Butt and Safar Tamam Huwa (working title) alongside Ali Rehman Khan.
