Acclaimed HBO TV series Game of Thrones has been in the news ahead of its final season’s release, however, now it is in the news for different reasons. It has now been confirmed that ahead of its final season, the channel will release a special reunion episode of the popular show in 2019.
According to reports, the rumour mill was churning that a special episode is being shot in Belfast with cast members who are no longer part of the show but HBO has now confirmed that the special is actually happening. However, this special episode will not be telecasted or available to watch online. It will be part of the special video box which will include Game of Thrones season 1 to 8, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The box will be available after the final season airs. It remains unclear who all from past seasons will be making an appearance in this special but Sean Bean (Ned Stark) is confirmed as his comments to a reporter about the episode was leaked. Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) was spotted in Belfast as well but whether he will be part of this episode or not is yet to be confirmed. In the past, he has visited the set as a fan and friend.
The final and eighth season airs in April 2019 on HBO.
