When actors spend over 10 to 12 hours each day on set, it is inevitable that they get to know each other’s good and bad sides. Hareem Farooq has worked with some of the finest actors of our industry. She shares a special camaraderie with Ali Rehman Khan as the two have worked together in many films and dramas. Some of her co-stars like Ali, Usman Mukhtar and Osman Khalid Butt are her closest friends off screen as well. So, it is fair to assume she knows them inside out.
In a fun conversation with Aamna Isani of Something Haute, Hareem shares one fun and unique fact that fans don’t know about the five leading heroes she has worked with.
Ali Rehman Khan
“He is a great cook; I found this out on the sets of Diyar-e-Dil. One day, we had this Skardu dish in dinner and he said that he can make it as well. Naturally, my response was ‘excuse me’ and after a few days he went into the kitchen there and made it. I had it and I was like ‘larka to khana paka sakta hai’ [this guy can cook!].”
Adeel Husain
“Adeel has very interesting ideas and he is full of them. And sometimes he shares them with such ease that you have to stop him and hear them again to get a grasp of his thought process. Also, I think he is a big anime fan.”
Usman Mukhtar
“He has got a sense of humour but that’s common knowledge now. He is a very serious and competitive player when it comes to sports. We once played cricket while we were working in theaters and he was so particular about the game that we initially played only to have fun. He is even serious while playing Ludo!”
Osman Khalid Butt
“Obi is very well-behaved and courteous. He will make you comfortable, especially the women around him. He will always take care of you and will be there for you. He will not make you feel bad about yourself which is a rare quality in men.”
Wahaj Ali
“Wahaj has a mischievous little child inside him who is always up to something. Everyone knows he has a good sense of humour but he is witty too. He will pull a prank with a serious face and you won’t even realize it. He is also good at jugaatein.”
