With Saba Qamar and Bilal Abbas Khan’s much-awaited upcoming drama ‘Cheekh’Â all set to air soon, the team behind the project has now released its first teaser.
Featuring some of Pakistani entertainment industry’s leading women such as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Sania Saeed, Sarwat Gilani, Maria Wasti, Marina Khan, Sanam Baloch, and Shaista Lodhi, the teaser follows a narration which talks about standing up against being silenced.
The teaser also shows a seemingly distraught Saba Qamar in the milieu, who finally seems to be given a voice of her own.
Although not much has been revealed in the teaser, Bilal, in an exclusive chat with Something Haute previously had revealed a few details about his character in the play.
“It’s just extremely powerful and different for me and the audience. It’s something really unexpected,†Bilal said. While he did not reveal much about his role, he did say that the fact his character exerts a lot of influence on other characters in the drama is what made him sign the project.
“And then of course Saba Qamar and director Badar Mehmood made it easier for me to make the decision,†he added.
