A number of Pakistani films due to release in 2020 were postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and cinema closure. Adnan Siddiqui’s first feature film as a producer — Dum Mastam — also met the same fate. It was scheduled for a 2020 release and later it was confirmed that the movie will be in theaters in 2021. However, after several delays, the film starring Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan is finally scheduled to release this Eid.

Adnan Siddiqui took to Instagram to announce the latest update along with a poster featuring Imran and Amar.

“2022 brings a story of love, fun-filled romance with generous dose of music…
Dum Mastam this Eid! Inshallah!” he wrote.

Imran and Amar will make their big screen debut in Dum Mastam.

Multitalented and versatile actor, Amar has not only played the female lead in the film but has also written the script of this romantic comedy. “Dum Mastam is very close to my heart,” she said in an exclusive chat with Something Haute without revealing details about her character or plot. “This film is written by me. The day I was narrating the script to my director, the kind of zeal and passion that he saw in me just got me the role,” she said when asked about how she became the perfect choice for this role.

The film has been directed by Mohammed Ehteshammuddin, who has previously directed Superstar starring Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf.
