After much anticipation, Disney has now released the first teaser trailer for its live-action version of The Lion King and it’s every part magical!
The computer-generated and live-action remake has been directed by Jon Favreau and sticks closely to the 1994 animated classic. It kicks things off with the iconic scene of Simba being presented to the animals from atop Pride Rock. Showing a myriad of gorgeous visuals and a powerful narration in the milieu, The Lion King teaser even throws in a bit of Circle of Life to evoke nostalgia beyond comprehension.
The characters have been voiced by a number of A-listers, including James Earl Jones, who reprises his role voicing King Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, as well as Beyonce, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Keegan-Michael Key, John Oliver, Seth Rogen, and Billy Eichner in pivotal roles.
The film is all set to release in theaters in July 2019.
