The biggest news of Thursday morning is that famous star from the popular Diriliş: Ertuğrul series — Engin Altan Düzyatan — who plays the titular character, is in Lahore on a short visit.
“Ertugrul Ghazi (Diriliş Ertuğrul) lead actor/hero Mr. Engin Altan Düzyatan just landed at Lahore Airport for a short visit to Pakistan at the invitation of a private business company,” Pakistan embassy in Ankara tweeted.

According to a report on the Urdu website of Turkish public broadcaster TRT, he will sign an agreement with the Lahore-based Chaudhary group of industries as a brand ambassador. However, due to a surge in coronavirus cases in the country, he may not be able to meet his fans.
Earlier, it was also reported that Engin will be coming to Pakistan in October 2020, as part of a Jashn’e’Ertugrul tour, where he will meet fans in three ticketed-only events. However, so far the star as only been in touch via video calls. He had a virtual meeting with three terminally ill Pakistani children in August. The event was arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Karachi, and was attended by the Turkish consul general and prominent Pakistani actors.
