After a long delay and much anticipation, the Neelum Muneer, and Ahsan Khan starrer, Chupan Chupai finally sees the light of day with its trailer out.
Written by Mohsin Ali, the film’s trailer mixes a bit of everything– from a comedy of errors to slapstick humour. However, what strikes the most is the likeness it seems to share with a handful of Bollywood and local films. We’re not sure if we are the only ones who see Hera Pheri and Na Maloom Afraad vibes in this. Apart from that, we’re still trying to figure out what Neelum Muneer’s Lara Croft persona has to do with anything in the film.

That being said, the trailer still manages to maintain some excitement due to Neelum and Ahsan’s strong screen presence. There’s definite chemistry between the two and we have a feeling it’s more bankable than the hackneyed plot of the film.
Apart from the lead couple, it also stars Talat Hussain, Javed Sheikh, Sakina Sammo, Rehan Sheikh, Adnan Jaffer, Faizan Khawaja, Ali Rizvi, Wajdaan Shah and Zayed Sheikh in pivotal roles.
Chupan Chupai is slated to release on 29 December 2017.
