While the country celebrates a newly elected leader, it seems that the box office can celebrate its own major victory as well, as it has reached one of the highest collection rates in a long time thanks to Sanju and Teefa in Trouble!
According to independent box office websites and sources, the Pakistani box office has seen an elevated collection rate this month owing to the success of not only Sanju – which has dominated local multiplexes since a month, but also Ali Zafar’s Teefa in Trouble, which has managed to carve a massive space in the cinema screen allocations.

Due to this, two new records have also emerged. While Sanju has become the highest grossing Bollywood film in Pakistan with a collection of more than PKR 39 Crore in its run, Teefa in Trouble has managed to become the first ever Pakistani film to make PKR 10 Crore domestically, and PKR 4.4 Crore globally in a week.

Although the current situation narrates a positive turnout at the cinemas across Pakistan, one has to wait and see how the post-election processes and the lull before Eid-Ul-Azha bode at the box office.
Will Teefa continue its magic and keep bringing people to the cinemas as Sanju calls it a day this week? We will just have to wait and see…
