Taliban have taken over Afghanistan and the situation is heartbreaking. The Afghans are desperately looking for ways out of the country which was once their ‘home’. Following the takeover, several Pakistani celebrities took to social media to share their concerns and displeasure regarding the humanitarian crisis.
Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai tweeted about her concerns. “Global, regional and local powers must call for an immediate ceasefire, provide urgent humanitarian aid, protect refugees and civilians,” she wrote.
We watch in complete shock as Taliban takes control of Afghanistan. I am deeply worried about women, minorities and human rights advocates. Global, regional and local powers must call for an immediate ceasefire, provide urgent humanitarian aid and protect refugees and civilians.
