Prime Minister Imran Khan has designated singer and actor Ali Zafar as ambassador to the Namal Knowledge City. This is a project envisioned and designed as a centre of academic excellence for the marginalized population living in remote areas of the country.
“Honoured to be nominated ambassador to the first & biggest knowledge city in Pakistan, “Namal Knowledge City” envisioned by the honourable Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI designed by @tonyashai,” Ali Zafar tweeted on Sunday.
Knowledge plays an important role in the development of a country and society, endorsed Ali.
The ceremony of Namal Knowledge City phase 1 in Mianwali was performed by PM Imran Khan, where he emphasized upon the importance of affordable and quality education for the youth, as good education laid the foundation for a tolerant and progressive society.

The Prime Minister also expressed that he aims for this institute to become an internationally renowned center of excellence.
He said that good education lays the foundation for a tolerant and progressive society.

He also shared the master plan of his dream to build Pakistan’s first knowledge city, which would be environment friendly and have a state of the art green structure.

According to the plan, after the completion of the first phase, more than 10,000 students from deprived areas would benefit from the project.
