The brain behind superheroes we have all aspired to be like, Stan Lee breathed his last on Monday morning at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, Los Angeles, Hollywood Reporter confirmed. He was 95.
Stan, who penned down stories like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Captain America and Black Panther, to name but a few, was the publisher, writer and co-producer of Marvel Comics. He started the venture alongside Jack Kirby in 1961 with Fantastic Four as their first project. The legendary writer suffered from multiple illnesses; vision issues and a period of pneumonia.

He was seen making cameos at the end of most Marvel creations. The writer lost his wife, Joan B. Lee at the age of 69 in 2017 and has left behind a daughter, J.C Lee. “My father loved all his fans. He was the greatest and most decent man,” J.C shared with tabloid TMZ.

As per an interview with BBC Radio Scotland, co-director of Avengers: Infinity Wars revealed that the acclaimed writer had already shot his cameos for upcoming Marvel movies. “So, Stan, typically we try to get him out — he doesn’t love to fly — so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time. So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance, Ant-Man 2 or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and kind of get him through his cameos in one day.”
This means that fans will see the late Marvel Comics’ writer in the upcoming Avengers 4, slated for release next year.
