News of the Day: It’s not official but we have it from very credible sources that fashion superstar Sadaf Kanwal, who also made her movie debut in the recent release Balu Mahi, will be making a special appearance in the upcoming Na Maloom Afraad 2. It’s the sort of role Mehwish Hayat was given in the original film, which kind of put ‘Billi’ on the map. What we’ve heard is that the super model has signed up for an item song!
We went straight to the source for the truth.
“I can’t really say anything yet,” Sadaf said with a hearty laugh. “But I can confirm that I am in the film.”
But can she dance, we asked, probing a bit more?
“Yes of course I can dance,” she laughed again. “I love to dance!”
Na Maloom Afraad 2, the sequel to Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza’s blockbuster that did rocking business at the box office in 2014, is scheduled to release over Eid ul Azha and its shooting is currently underway. We know that Urwa Hocane is heading out to Cape Town for shooting next month so it can safely be deduced that the sequel won’t necessarily be just about the underbelly of Karachi. Na Maloom Afraad 2 features Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh and Mohsin Abbas as well as Urwa Hocane and we have a strong hunch that we will get to see a Sadaf Kanwal item song too. Let’s wait and see!
