With Bollywood seeing one of the worst years at the box office in 2017, it seems that Indian filmmakers are all about going back to formulaic narratives; and of course, what could be better than making a biopic? Now, amidst the plethora of biopics ready to go on floors, the latest news suggests that Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh are all set to star in one together.
While it’s no surprise that Ranveer shares a ‘bromance’ with Aamir – we’ve all seen the PK-era selifes – the two will reportedly unite on the silver screen in a Rakesh Sharma’s biopic.

The movie which is titled Salute is being directed by Mahesh Mathai and will be co-produced by Aamir Khan. According to sources, the narrative is based on the life of an acclaimed Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma. If this news is indeed true, this will be the first collaboration between Aamir and Ranveer, and we’re sure the two will be able to weave magic on the screen.
Previously, rumours also suggested that Priyanka Chopra may star in Salute as well, and she will portray the role of Rakesh Sharma’s wife. However, according to Indian publications, the role may be essayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh of Dangal fame.
