Ramsha Khan has opened a new leaf in her career with Ghisi Piti Mohabbat in which he role is a much-needed respite from the damsel that she is habitual of playing in dramas. However, she was skeptical about how would people receive her in a bold and confident avatar. The drama is earned much critical acclaim and is loved by many, but we wanted to know if Ramsha is satisfied. So, Something Haute got in touch with her to ask what she feels about the feedback?
“Honestly, I have received mixed reviews. People have either loved it or they have not understood what this satirical take is all about. They comment why is Samiya (her character) like that? But Samiya is the kind of person who says out loud what, generally, we only think and feel and don’t speak about. I’m not bothered about the ratings or numbers, I’m happy that I got a chance to do something different,” Ramsha said.
Did she face any challenges in playing Samiya?
“Of course, I did. I wasn’t able to understand Samiya in the beginning; even today, I don’t understand my work in a few episodes. I was scared to get out of my comfort zone. But eventually I realized the most of the characters in our universe were like that… very raw and authentic. So as much as I could not relate to scenes as Ramsha, Samiya fitted in them,” she added.
According to you, what are the most important messages given in this drama?
“The most important message will be revealed in the last episode. However, other than that what I’ve learnt is that you don’t need to rush when it comes to marriages, love, commitment. You have build yourself, your career and everything else is secondary. This is what I learned from Samiya that only your family will remain your support system; you friends, boyfriend or girlfriends will not be with you,” the actor said,
