Turkish dramas and stars have a massive following in Pakistan. Following the success of their dramas and recent collaborations, Ayla: The Daughter of War will b a Turkish film to release in Pakistani cinemas. The film is slated to release on February 11.

“Here we present the official trailer of upcoming Turkish movie ‘AYLA: The Daughter of War’ Releasing on 11th Feb 2022 across Pakistan,” read the official announcement.

 

 

The film has been dubbed in Urdu exclusively for Pakistani audiences and it features the story of a girl, who is found on a battlefield by a Turkish soldier.

“During the Korean War, a young girl is saved by Süleyman, a sergeant in the Turkish Brigade who gives her the nickname Ayla. The two form a friendship despite the language barrier between them but are torn apart when Süleyman must return home,” read the description.

 

 

According to Express News, the Distribution Club has arranged for the screening of the world-renowned feature film. Distribution Club Executive Manager, Sheikh Abid Rashid has said that Ayla has also been issued a censorship certificate for screening.

“It will introduce Pakistani audiences to the Turkish cinema and the screening will strengthen the relations between Pakistan and Turkey,” he shared.

However, this is not the first time a Turkish film is being released in Pakistan. Miracle in Cell No 7 was the first Turkish language film to release in the country. It is the Turkish remake of a Korean film by the same name.

Ayla: The Daughter of War is a 2017 Turkish drama film directed by Can Ulkay.
