Hum TV has recently released two teasers from an upcoming drama serial, Qissa Meherbano Ka, featuring Ahsan Khan and Mawra Hocane.
While Ahsan will be essaying the role of Murad Ali, a manipulative character, who self-proclaims that he isn’t a human being. His inconstant nature will even put a chameleon to shame. He changes according the need of the circumstances and hence, is not sincere to anybody. In the first teaser, he is shown with several women including Mashal Khan.
Mawra will play the titular character Meherbano, a girl who is about to get married. However, in a strange turn of events, the second teaser hints that she will turn a widow during her nikkah.
The official description of the drama suggests that it is “a story of blind and intense love, misgivings and despair”, and there is an inkling that Murad will be behind these misfortunes. Ahsan, who was last seen in Qayamat as a negative character, is again playing a character who is toxic role here. He is definitely the antagonist here who will cause harm to Meherbano.

Mawra and Ahsan will be sharing the television screen again after three years. They were last seen together in 2018’s Aangan. The drama also marks the debut of veteran actor Naumaan Ijaz’s son Zaviyar Naumaan, along with other actors like Mohammad Ahmad, Ghazala Kaifi, Zeb Rehman and Laila Zuberi.
Qissa Meherbano Ka is written by Fakhra Jabeen and directed by Iqbal Hussain. It is a Momina Duraid production and will air on Hum TV soon.
