Imran Abbas and Ayeza Khan have become one of the most sought-after television couples after giving three successful dramas like Tum Kon Piya, Muhabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai and Koi Chand Rakh. Viewers love to see them together and the two never fail to impress us with their performances.
ARY Digital released the first teaser of their upcoming venture — Thora Sa Haq (previously titled Bheeghi Palkhain) last night and by the looks of it, the Imran and Ayeza are yet again suffering at the hands of circumstances. The teaser introduces Ayeza as Imran’s first wife in the play, who is helping him dress up as a groom for his second marriage, as he says ‘Bohat majbur hun, pyaar kerta hun us se…’ [I am helpless, I love her] to which she replies, ‘Mein bhi majbur hun, biwi hun aap ki…’ [I am also helpless as I’m your wife].
In an exclusive conversation with Something Haute, Imran Abbas shares that it’s a beautiful story of two cities, Karachi and Hyderabad. “My character name is Zamin and Ayeza is playing Seher. This is our fourth project together and it is always a wonderful experience to work with Ayeza. I am at ease working with her because both of us know that we have a fan base that love our pairing,” he said.
The teaser confirmed that it is yet another play with the subject of second marriage, so what’s new this time? Imran emphasized that there’s a story behind it and sometimes circumstances leave you with no choice, but to remarry.
“Second marriages result in distressing situations for all three parties, be it the wives or the husband. The relationship become more complex and painful, especially when your heart is with someone else and you get married to someone else. This pain is shown in the serial; it’s very well written. I am working with the director Ahmed Bhatti for the first time as well,” Imran said.
“I believe in monogamy as marriage demands emotional attachment and devotion. A person can devote that much time and emotions to only one person in their life. I don’t understand how people manage otherwise,” Imran added.

We asked Imran what prompted them to change the title?
“There were two previous plays of the same name so we had to change it to avoid any confusions,” he shared.
We also love the OST of the play sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, which has a beautiful composition and gripping lyrics, that raise all the right questions. Other than the lead actors, Mashal Khan and Saba Faisal are also a part of the play.
Produced by Abdullah Seja of iDream Entertainment, Thora Sa Haq has no confirmed release date yet.
