Spotify recently unveiled its 2022 edition of Spotify Wrapped. Each listener has a customized Wrapped which enlists their top listened to artists and most listened to songs of the year. Each user is also given a personality out of the 16 customized made personalities of Spotify. In addition to that, the music streaming service also released a list of most-streamed artists in Pakistan and songs that topped the charts and made their way to the user’s playlists.
Most Streamed Male Artists
Atif Aslam continues to reign over the music industry of Pakistan after once again becoming the most streamed artist in the country. Second on the list was Talha Anjum followed by Abdul Hannan. This marks the debut of the Iraaday’s singer Abdul Hanan on a Spotify’s list of the most streamed artists. Abdul Hanan gained popularity after his songs Bikhra and Iraaday went viral and topped weekly charts of most listened-to songs. The rap band Young Stunners came forth on the list followed by Talhah Yunus, Hasan Raheem, Rovalio, Asim Azhar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Sethi.

Most Streamed Female Artists
Among the most streamed female artists, Pasoori singer and EQUAL Pakistan Ambassador for the month of December, Shae Gill makes it to list. Others include Momina Mustehsan, Abida Parveen, Aima Baig, and Naseebo Lal.
International Artists
International artists who were the most streamed in Pakistan included AP Dhillon, followed by Arijit Singh. Among the other names included Pritam, Gurinder Gill, Sidhu Moose Wala, The Weeknd, Tanishk Bagchi and the K-pop boy band BTS.

Most Streamed Songs
Ali Sethi and Shae Gill’s Pasoori once again topped the charts and retains its autonomy of being the most streamed song of the country. This year’s Coke Studio hit also became the first-ever Pakistani song that hit the top 3 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 list earlier this year. Other songs that made it to list of top 10 songs include Abdul Hannan and Rovalio’s Bikhra followed by their song Iraaday. Coke Studio’s other songs also topped the charts including Peechay Hutt, Tu Jhoom, Kana Yaari, and Phir Milenge. Others include Ik Lamha, Kahani Suno 2.0, and Agency.
