Upcoming drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan is in the news for all the right reasons. A new addition in the cast of the star-studded mega project is Sri Lankan actress/model Yehali Tashiya, who will be essaying the role of a Sri Lankan cadet who has come to train in Pakistan alongside other female cadets. Producers Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz have confirmed Yehali’s inclusion in the cast.

It is not unusual for army officers from other countries to come to Pakistan and train with the Pakistan Army. What’s interesting is that this has been included as a plotline in Sinf-e-Aahan with the spotlight on a female international cadet, no less. Sinf-e-Aahan already boasts a stellar cast which includes Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yousaf, Kubra Khan and Ramsha Khan along with male stars Usman Mukhtar, Sheheryar Munawar, Asad Siddiqui and Asim Azhar.

An international artists inclusion has certainly raised expectations from the already highly anticipated project, credit for which certainly goes to producers Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz of Next Level Entertainment who are producing this drama serial alongside Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib of  Six Sigma Plus and in association with ISPR.

It appears that Yehali has already fallen in love with Pakistan as is evident from her pictures on Instagram:

Although not much has been revealed about the plot of Sinf-e-Aahan, we do know it revolves around five female cadets and their respective journeys. The drama serial is expected to tap into the transformation of women — who are usually referred to as Sinf-e-Naazuk [the delicate class] — to Sinf-e-Aahan [the iron-willed class] i.e. women of steel.

Directed by Nadeem Baig, Sinf-e-Aahan is written by renowned playwright Umera Ahmed and will air soon on ARY Digital.
