After the massive success of Maya Ali’s debut film, Teefa in Trouble, the diva is all set to star in Pakistan’s most sought-after filmmaker, Shoaib Mansoor’s upcoming film ABG. Opposite her, the film features model turned actor Emmad Irfani who rose to fame through his recent super hit dramas, Cheekh and Jalan.

Titled ABG, the film which is perhaps an acronym for the title of the project and the lead pair is all excited about working with the man who has made stars in our industry with superhits like Khuda Kay Liye and Bol. Shoaib Mansoor is a director highly responsible for the revival of Pakistani cinema.

Sharing a photo on Instagram, Maya revealed that shooting has begun and she feels blessed to have gotten a chance to work with the legend. “First day on the set of #ABG. Blessed to have gotten a chance to work with the great Shoaib Sahab,” she wrote.

Emmad also feels equally excited and honoured for the opportunity. “[It is an honor] well… to be a part of the next piece of puzzle by the maestro, Khuda Kay Liye, Bol, Verna and ABG. Not only is he [Shoaib Mansoor] colossal in his field but also a great human being. Just being in his presence is highly inspiring and I look forward to be working under his captaincy,” the actor had said in an earlier chat with Something Haute.

Talking about the script and the character, Emmad said that this story needs to be told. “My character’s narrative has got me all focused and determined to immerse myself to work as hard as never before,” he had further added.
