As the much-awaited TV play, Aangan nears its airing, there seems to be even more exciting news coming from the sets of the show as actor Shahroz Sabzwari joins the ensemble cast.
While there was already a lot of anticipation surrounding the drama as major names have joined the cast, it seems Shahroz’s character – which seems to be drawing comparisons to Pablo Escobar from Narcos – will be another cherry on top of this icing.
“I come into the life of Mawra Hocane’s character in the drama,” the actor told Something Haute. “My character, Dr. Ahsaan comes in as a breath of fresh air and leads to a confusing twist which you’ll have to watch the play to find out about. You know during that time, there was a segment of rich and British influenced people in the subcontinent. My role is of one such character.”
Shahroz also spoke about why he chose to be a part of the show.
“It’s a star-studded period play and I’m glad to be a part of something so huge,” Shahroze told Something Haute. “My main motivation was to be a part of something that has the potential to go down in history and be remembered by generations. It’s a period play and by being a part of this play, I make my patriotic contribution towards the country.”
