Saboor Aly, Kinza Hashmi and Omer Shahzad starrer Gul-o-Gulzar is all set to air tomorrow and judging by the first look, the serial will be a whirlwind of drama and intrigue.
Teasers for the drama serial have been floating around for quite some time now, however a reminder was posted by actor-cum-producer, Humayun Saeed, in an Instagram poster earlier today.
Set around the dynamic of two best friends, the story seems to revolve around the egoistic Gul (Saboor) and the naïve Gulzar (Kinza). All four teasers show Saboor as a volatile and hard-headed girl, who can go to any lengths to achieve what she sets her mind to.
On the flip side, Gulzar, is the simple and sweet girl next door; the yin to Gul’s yang, if you may. We see her being overpowered and overshadowed by Gul’s looming and heavy character and we assume that this theme will function as the premise of the show.
The JPNA 2 actor, Omer Shahzad will also be seen in the drama serial, playing the role of Gulzar’s lover. The teasers also reveal that at some point in the drama we can expect his affections to shift to Gul, and we can’t wait to see how the story unfolds.
Needless to say, the promos for the serial are, despite being overly dramatic, incredibly gripping thanks to Saboor’s villainous streak and Kinza’s performance as her docile counterpart. This is one serial we are looking forward to.
Gul-o-Gulzar is all set to air from the 13th June at 9pm on ARY Digital.
