It’s been a fruitful year for Mawra Hocane. From bagging major endorsement deals to winning multiple awards to a critically acclaimed performance in drama serial Sammi; one would like to believe that she has firmly established herself as an A-lister.
It appears that 2018 will be an even better year for her, though. With the starlet making a debut in a Pakistani film — no less than the sequel of blockbuster hit Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, and returning to TV screens with the highly anticipated partition drama Aangan, Mawra’s fans have certainly got a lot to look forward to.
And to top it all off, her look from Aangan has finally been released! Here, take a look:
Set in the early ’40s, Aangan is a Hum TV production, being directed by Ehteshamuddin who has hits like Udaari and Sadqay Tumharay to his credit. Mawra shared the picture on her Instagram along with, presumably, a dialogue from the drama: ‘Mera naam Alia hai, Alia begum nahi, samajh gaye aap? [My name is Alia, not Alia Begum, do you understand?]’ giving some insight to her character which appears to be quite different from the docile Sammi we last saw her as.

Well, we are certainly excited. Aangan premieres some time early next year.
