Nomi Ansari’s annual White Feast has become quite the anticipated iftar event, with people planning their white style statements and making their weekend plans accordingly. We have to say that this year was an extremely well-attended affair, with some of the country’s biggest stars – many of them being Nomi Ansari loyalists – making an appearance.
Heat or no heat, the industry turned out in droves; there were so many people that we, for one, could not even meet all of them.
We chatted with Ahad, who said he was busy working with his father in their production house these days and was holding back on a new TV/Film project for now. You’ll see him next on Aangan, opposite Sajal Aly, which is exciting all fans.
Momal Sheikh has also turned producer for her dad, Jawed Sheikh’s upcoming Wajood. She was quite optimistic that the film would do well. Sajal and Ahad looked great together, leaving us with #couplegoals for the upcoming Aangan.
We also caught up with Sana Javed, who spoke about the success of Khaani and the three upcoming projects she’ll be appearing in. We are looking forward to Dino Ki Dulhaniya and Romeo Weds Heer, both of which she’s doing with Feroze Khan. Watch out for this interview soon.
Looks like Yasir Hussain was taking this selfie with Sajal, Momal, Ahad, Manal (or is it Aiman?), Iqra Aziz, Shehzad Sheikh and of course the beaming host, Nomi Ansari.
Nausheen Shah is an actor now but for us she’s always a style icon who always looks good and dresses well. As you guys can see from the three models, embroidered leather khussas were the key item in all white looks. Sadaf, Nausheen and Areeba were all wearing them.
Undoubtedly the most talented and successful team of filmmakers, Humayun Saeed, Naddem Baig and Vasay Chaudhry will be returning to our screens with Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 on Eid ul Azha. It’ll go up against Load Wedding and Parwaaz Hai Junoon but I wouldn’t be worried if I were them. I do think people will watch all 3 films.
Meera turned up in full glory and said she didn’t want to talk about Ateeq or marriage. She said she’d talk about herself when she had something big to announce, like a pregnancy…right now she had to focus on work.
Sajal Aly looked radiant in all white, also in a traditional look that she says she is most comfortable in. We spoke about Aangan but also Alif, which she starts shooting for soon, with Hamza Ali Abbasi. We’re excited about both her projects and will be following ardently.
The young and pretty Minal Khan wore a white and gold tunic with a fancy tulip shalwar. It took us some time to figure out if this was Aiman or Minal. I think we need a ‘Spot the Difference’ type guide to identify the twins.
(Clockwise from left): Sonya Hussyn, Aamna Haider Isani, Muneera Valika, Nadia Husain, Nomi Ansari, Huma Adnan, Fouzia Aman, Tabesh Khoji and Feroze Khan, who came very late and that too in grey.
