This year marked Pakistan’s 75th year of Independence and the day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, President Arif Alvi conferred 126 civil awards on Pakistani citizens and foreign nationals for showing excellence and courage in their respective domains.

These awards include 3 Nishan-i-Imtiaz, 2 Hilal-i-Pakistan, 6 Hilal-i-Imtiaz, 4 Sitar-i-Pakistan, 3 Sitara-i-Shuja’at, 17 Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 39 President’s Award for Pride of Performance, 3 Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam, 17 Tamgha-i-Shuja’at, 31Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, and 1 Tamgha-i-Quaid-i-Azam.
Music composer Rohail Hyatt was awarded Hilal I Imtiaz while actors Shahid Hameed alias Shahid, Durdana Butt (late), Ismail Tara, Manzoor Ali Mirza, Syed Sajid Hassan and Shaharyar Zaidi were honoured with the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.
