The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday clarified that there is no stay order against the release of Bilal Lashari’s much-anticipated The Legend of Maula Jatt (TLMJ). The film has been in hot waters following claims of copyright infringement by producer of film Maula Jatt which came out in 1979.

In the most recent development, the LHC has reportedly forwarded the film to the censor board with a recommendation to resolve the issue once and for all. Producer Ammara Hikmat took to Twitter and announced the news:

Addressing the rumours surrounding the delay in TLMJ’s release, Ammara stated that it has been postponed due to a strategic reason:
The film has been delayed for a strategic reason, not any legal issue. The new release date will be announced very soon.
