Gaming in Pakistan has been restricted to either consoles or exclusive gaming dens. There are a few but scarce small-scale college/university competitions in the country that encourage the exercise and let students actively engage in it.
Mountain Dew Gamers Arena is an avenue solely designed for the adventure seekers in Pakistan with an aim to change the format of gaming in the region. The brand launched its first ever gaming platform Wednesday night, in collaboration with the leading international gaming giant, ESL.
Dew has set the stage for players by establishing the biggest gaming championship in Pakistan with prize pool of PKR 1 million up for grabs. The event marked the official beginning of the contest with the qualifiers, and will go on for the next three months. Top gamers across Pakistan will compete against each other CS:GO and Dota 2 for the title of the ultimate champion.

The affair unveiled a thrilling TV commercial announcing the competition, followed by the trophy reveal. The star studded event was attended by top celebrities including Feroze Khan, Mira Sethi, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Imran Abbas, Hareem Farooq, and Cybil Chaudhry to name a few.
