Newly wed actress Mira Sethi is all set to ring in the holiday season with a theatrical production of Shakespearean classic, King Lear. The play has been reproduced in Urdu under the direction of Zia Mohyeuddin, who is well known for his extensive body of work in theater.
The actress made the big announcement last month as she posted a picture of the script. Now that the dates have been locked, Mira took to Twitter to share that the performance will take place from December 19th to December 29th at the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) in Karachi.
Working with Zia Mohyeddin sb has been punishing, demanding, exhilarating—the experience of a lifetime. #KingLear – an Urdu adaptation! – opens in Karachi Dec 19, and runs through Dec 29.

The actress also shared her experience of working with Zia Mohyeddin sahib which she termed was “punishing, demanding, exhilarating (yet) the experience of a lifetime.”
We can’t wait to witness King Lear in all its glory, that too in Urdu, and with Mr Mohyeddin working on it as a director, the expectations are even higher.
