The news of two Hindu sisters who were alleged to be forcibly converted to Islam and hitched to Muslim men in Sindh’s Ghotki district has been creating buzz over social media over the past weekend. Although the case has been filed in the Islamabad High Court, India’s Minister of External affairs, Sushma Swaraj took to Twitter and inquired Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry about the details of the incident. On Monday, Mawra Hocane also responded to the two ministers, raising pertinent questions.

However, it only ended up in a futile argument between the two ministers as Fawad Chaudhry pointed out that it’s Pakistan’s internal issue.

While the two ministers were engaged in a blame game, Mawra Hocane joined the conversation and urged them to focus on the valuable human lives suffering in the process.

“While I attach this video I do realise that Two wrongs DON’T make a right. Let’s not make this about protecting Hindu girls or Muslim families, let’s make this about protecting human lives across the subcontinent, across the world. It’s not about ministers, it’s about the public! [sic],” Mawra posted.

The actress further asked the people in power to ‘stop inculcating hate’.
