After playing a dark role in Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Simmba already has the actor all chirpy once again thanks to the ‘masala factor.’

Working with director Rohit Shetty, Ranveer talked about his love for masala films and especially the excitement he has for working in the Chennai Express director’s film.

“I am so lucky to be working with Rohit Shetty, he is the king of masala films,” the actor told Pinkvilla. “People are looking forward to us working together and I am happy to see that kind of excitement level.”

Reportedly, Simmba is the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Temper, and is being co-produced by Karan Johar.

“Masala films are in my blood and I’m very excited to be working in Simmba, Ranveer said. “Who better than Rohit Shetty, the king of that genre, so I am definitely looking forward.”

The film is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
