Na Maloom Afraad predictably dominated the Film category with the only non NMA award going to Saleha Aref for her role in Dukhtar. The music category was a mixed bag, with popular acts picking up the trophy.
It was reassuring to see two female vocalists – Zoe Viccaji and Sara Haider – on the list of winners. Fashion delivered very ‘Karachi-centric’ results with all trophies staying in the city. Brand Sana Safinaz emerged biggest winners as they picked up three trophies, and Nabila won her 9th LSA for Hair and Makeup. Last but not the least, TV Awards were swept clean by Pyare Afzal, spearheaded by the handsome albeit controversial Hamza Ali Abbasi, who actually let off a very positive vibe all evening.
