Karan Johar just announced the second installment of his hit movie Dostana and has confirmed Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor as its two leads.
The sequel to the 2008 hit, which starred Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, was confirmed by director-producer Karan Johar who took to his social media to reveal the news, much to the fan’s delight.

Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor have been confirmed for the movie, while a male newcomer to complete the original trio remains a mystery. The movie will be directed by first time director Collin Dcunha, who expressed his excitement for the project on Twitter.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhana, the first installment of Dostana revolved around two straight men, played by Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, who pretend to be gay so they can share an apartment with Priyanka Chopra, however, end up falling in love with her. The movie was a blockbuster and is remembered for memorable and catchy songs like Maa Da Ladla and Desi Girl.
